Lowcountry Rice Culture
September 17 - 19
Georgetown County, SC
Click below to enjoy the performance of the Freedom Readers Children's Choir!
We had beautiful, sunny weather as we explored the effect of antebellum rice culture on the arts of yesterday and today.
Crowds from nearby and out of state came to enjoy panel discussions, a performance by the Columbia City Ballet, Gullah-inspired music sung by the Freedom Readers Children's Choir, the premiere of a documentary on local Gullah artists, and a riveting performance by Ron and Natalie Daise.
Thank you to all the sponsors, speakers, performers, and folks who came to enjoy the forum.
