Coronavirus Concerns Close Libraries

Following the directive of Georgetown County government, and in an effort to protect residents and employees from contact with the COVID-19 virus, all library branches in Georgetown County will be closed to the public beginning Wednesday, March 18 until further notice. Please note:

1) Patrons can check for updates on our website at georgetowncountylibrary.sc.gov or can call with questions (843) 545-3300 (Georgetown), (843) 545-3623 (Waccamaw), (843) 545-3621 (Andrews), or (843) 545-3515 (Carvers Bay).

2) You can still return books in the outside drop off, and they will be checked back in daily. You can also call to have your book renewed or renew on this website: https://georgetowncountylibrary.sc.gov/get-book

3) Try our online E-book service, which works with portable devices like tablets and cell phones. Here's a shortcut: https://georgetowncountylibrary.sc.gov/get-book. If you have any problems with an expired card, give us a call.

4) You may also want to explore our digital library http://www.gcdigital.org/, which contains thousands of local photos and documents from our history.
