Ecology for Kids    Fall Fun with SCDNR Heritage Trust 

    Friday, October 2 at 3 pm

    Heritage Trust historian Alyssa Graham explores cordage, the ancient art of making rope out of fibers like grasses and reeds. This event comes with a materials kit that you can pick up at the Waccamaw Library between September 28 - October 2. Sponsored by the Friends of the Waccamaw Library. 

Kids Art Classes      Art Classes with the Myrtle Beach Art Museum  

    Join Tracey Roode for "What a Relief." She'll take kids on a tour of Sara Farrington's exhibit "Model Home," then show different techniques for creating abstract paper relief sculptures.  

    October 5 - 9: Pick up FREE art kits from your library beforehand, so kids can do the artwork as Tracey does. 

    October 9 at 3 pm: ONLINE LESSON: Facebook > Georgetown County Library. You do not need a Facebook account to join a Facebook Live event.

    Heritage Trust historian Alyssa Graham shows you how to make an old-fashioned wax seal.  This event comes with a materials kit that you can pick up at the Waccamaw Library between October 26 - 30. Sponsored by the Friends of the Waccamaw Library.

    Join Tracey Roode for "Wild at Art." She'll take kids on a tour of Maura Kenny's exhibit "Where the Rivers Flow," then show kids watercolor techniques to paint wile waterscapes inspired by the Pee Dee and Waccamaw Rivers.
